“Vortex Rose” is an illuminated sculpture for the wall, 24″ high x 23″ wide x 8″ deep. The translucent sculpture is created from paper, glue, and reed. There are accents on this piece made from heat patina copper mesh repousse. The light shines softly through the copper and the papier mache when it is lit, bringing out the contrasting lines of the reed structure. When unlit, “Vortex Rose” is a soft white sculpture, deeply textured, with iridescent copper accents.
